Regulatory alignment is table stakes for a first receiver. Sustainability is the direction we're building toward — stated plainly, not oversold.
Regulatory alignment
Operating under DFO and provincial requirements for commercial fish receivers. Licensing, record-keeping, and reporting are core operational deliverables — not overhead.
Data integrity
First-receiver data is the anchor for the entire downstream chain. Records are captured at source, retained per regulation, and produced on demand for auditors and licensed harvesters.
Fishery-responsible sourcing
We buy from licensed harvesters operating within active DFO / IPHC openings only. Species with area-specific management (rockfish, geoduck) are documented by area on every lot.
Sustainability goals
Long-term, we aim to align our sourcing and reporting with recognized sustainability programs (Ocean Wise, MSC-style chain-of-custody). These are stated goals during the pre-launch phase — not current certifications.
A note on claims
Real certifications will only be claimed on this site once they are formally issued to Coastal Harvest Wholesale. Anything on this page framed as a goal or intention will be revised to a factual claim only when it is verifiable.
